Dr. Meghan Finley grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, but has also lived in Florida, the island of St. Kitts, and Texas. She attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she obtained her Chemistry degree with minors in Biology and Music while working as a receptionist/assistant at Angel Animal Hospital and Boarding. Dr. Finley received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Texas A&M University. Her professional interests include radiology, ophthalmology, neurology, integrative medicine, and soft tissue surgery. In her free time, Dr. Finley enjoys photography, traveling, reading, and spending time with her friends, family, and pets (2 golden retrievers and her island dog).
Megan has been with Angel Animal Hospital since 2009. She received her B.A. in Environmental Science and Politics from Rollins College in 2002, working for various charity organizations and serving in the Peace Corps before deciding to return to school to earn a degree in Veterinary Technology and pursue her true passion of working with animals, particularly rescue dogs and cats. Megan received an A.S. in Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College in 2011 and is certified with the Florida Veterinary Medical Association. She is currently studying to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. Megan currently lives in Bonita Springs with her husband, Adam, daughter Hanna, two Golden Retrievers (Sunny and Rowdy), and two cats (Caesar and Cleo).
Michelle is a native Southwest Floridian. She was born in Naples, raised in Colombia and now resides once again in Naples. Michelle knew from a young age that she had a passion for animals. Spending her summers at her grandparents farm and growing up with her dogs, she knew this was the field she wanted to work in. In 2014 after having her first child, Michelle attended Heritage Institute where she obtained an Associate Degree for Occupational Science in Veterinary Technician. Michelle will be sitting soon to take her national board exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Dr. Jennifer Frione is a Florida native who has always been passionate about animals. She attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she earned a Bachelors in Biology and originally worked at Angel as a receptionist before attending vet school. Dr. Frione obtained her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her Veterinary interests include shelter medicine, preventative care, rehabilitation, integrative medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Other interests include traveling, cooking, boating, and spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
Pammy was born and raised in Ft. Myers, Florida. Pammy attended the veterinary assisting program at South Fort Myers High School and later moved to Orlando and volunteered at a pet boarding/hospital. Pammy has moved back to the area with her husband and two sons to spend more time with family and take advantage of our beautiful beaches. Pammy love all animals, but is particularly partial to German Shepards.
Dr. Swartz was born in Ashland, Ohio, and went to The Ohio State University for both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees, graduating in 1966. He practiced in Ohio for 2 years before starting Old Dominion Animal Hospital in McLean, VA, where he practice 23 years before selling to his partner. He founded Clocktower Animal Hospital in Herndon, VA, in 1991. Dr. Swartz has been the American Animal Hospital Association [AAHA] Public Relations Chairman and also wrote a monthly column, Ask The Vet, for Better Homes and Gardens magazine for several years. He also enjoyed media work with AOL-Time Warner, Kids On Line [KOL] radio and webcast live broadcast format for children ages 6 to 14 years old. He has served on the Board of Directors for The Hope Center for Advanced Veterinary and Specialty Care in Vienna, VA, and served as chairman, Professional Veterinary Products, Ltd., in Omaha, NE, and the Claude Moore Colonial Farm at Turkey Run in McLean, VA, the only privately funded national park. He is currently President of the Board at Naples Equestrian Challenge in Naples providing equine therapy for children and adults with special needs. “I love being a part of the Angel Animal Hospital team and being able to continue to help pets and their owners part-time in my retirement. “
Dr. Pegah Gillette is a native of Bloomfield Hills Michigan and has always had a love for animals. At the age of 15 she started working as a kennel assistant at a veterinary hospital. She worked her way up to a veterinary assistant position and eventually a veterinary technician position. She attended the University of Michigan and Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. During her summer breaks she continued working as a veterinary technician. After graduating from veterinary school in 2005 she moved to southwest Florida with her husband and their dog. She worked for a small animal practice for 3 years before founding Angel Animal Hospital in 2008 with her husband. She has a special interest in preventative medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. She enjoys working with a variety of rescue organizations and helping enhance the human animal bond of her clientele. In her spare time she enjoys boating and spending time with her family, friends, and pets (now 2 dogs and a cat).
Melodie was born in Canada and spent most my life in upstate NY. Her dream has been to work with animals since she can remember. She plans on attending vet tech school in the near future to further her career. She's lived in FortMyers for 2 years - waiting to find her perfect home so we can add a fur baby to her family. She also has an 8 month old bearded dragon named Ava.
Tara joined the team in November of 2013. She is originally from South of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Waynesburg College. She has lived in Fort Myers, Florida since 2011 and has always had a love for animals. She has never met a stray she didn’t like. She currently owns two cats, Britney and Snickers, but adores German Shepherds and is fascinated by wolves. When she is not at the hospital, she spends time with her daughter, Haley, who is passionate about gymnastics and animals. Tara is grateful to be a team member at Angel Animal Hospital and enjoys her days helping her patients live happy and healthy lives.
Jenna is a native of Southwest Florida. Her love for caring for animals stemmed from always having animals growing up, from Ferrets to Dogs, her family always had animals in their care. In 2009, after feeling a change of scenery she moved to Asheville, NC where she attended Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and became a Certified Veterinary Technician. After getting married and having their first child Jenna and her husband decided to move back to Naples to be closer to family and the sunshine. She feels very lucky to be a member of the Angel Animal Hospital staff. In her free time she enjoys being on or near the water, shopping, baking cupcakes, loving on her dogs and spending time with her family.

Jenna Visconti, CVT
Ashley has lived in Naples, FL for the past 14 years. She has two fur babies: a pitbull, Nala, and a miniature pinscher, Sydney. She loves working with animals, and will be going to school to further her career in the animal health field.
Autumn moved here from a small town in Southern IL. She started in the veterinary field when she was 14 years old and has worked her way from volunteering to being a technician. Now, after being in the field for a total of 6 years, she plans to continue her education and become a Certified Veterinary Technician and work in Emergency care again. In her free time she enjoys fishing, kayakings and horseback riding.
Margaret came to us in the fall of 2016. Originally from Long Island, New York where she owned a boarding kennel for 10 years. After moving to Florida she knew her heart has always been with the 4 legged clients and of course their owners. She loves the interaction working the reception area at AAH. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family & friends near and far, Lola her bulldog, traveling, music festivals & the beautiful outdoors.
Dr. Ryan Gorbutt spent most of his life in Virginia but he has also lived in Michigan, Florida, Illinois, New York and the Cayman Islands. He has worked in the veterinary field since he was 16 years old as a kennel attendant, veterinary assistant, veterinary receptionist, veterinary technician and an ER veterinary technician. In 2003, after graduating from Radford University, he worked in the clinical research department at Virginia Tech for three years before becoming a veterinarian. He obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. Matthew's University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Gorbutt went on to successfully complete a one year small animal medicine and surgery internship at New York City Veterinary Specialists. His professional interests include emergency and critical care medicine, soft tissue surgery, neurology, and wound management.
In his spare time, Dr. Gorbutt takes advantage of southwest Florida’s beautiful beaches and weather. He enjoys boating, fishing and golfing while spending time with his girlfriend and Bengal cat.
Kelly comes to us from Tennessee . Kelly has been working with animalssince 1999, first as a zookeeper and later as a veterinary technician in general, emergency and exotic veterinary practices in Tennessee. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology and is currently studying Veterinary Technology at Penn Foster. In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and their two "rescue mutts": Sarge and Yellow.
Kim has been working at Angel Animal Hospital since August 2012. Before then, she volunteered at various animal hospitals and animal rescues in southwest Florida. Kim has two dogs, a shih-tzu named Midget, and a chocolate lab named Yoshi. She completed her high school requirements while attending Florida Gulf Coast University. Now, she is currently in her second year of vet school at the University of Florida! We hope to get her back someday. She plans to continue working at Angel Animal Hospital during winter and summer vacations.
Megan Bennett, CVT
Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Theresa moved to Florida 20 years ago. Theresa has been a veterinary technician for 14 years. She has worked in veterinary orthopedics, cardiology, and internal medicine practices, and has been working at Angel since 2011. Here at the office, Theresa is always the one to make us smile and laugh. Theresa recently graduated from Bonita Springs School of Massage and Cosmetology where she received certification to become a licensed Esthetician. Theresa has a dog named Geddy Lee, and she also has a parakeet. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband Tom and her son Stephen.
Bill joined the AAH team in the fall of 2014. Prior to AAH, he owned and managed a large dog kennel for over 20 years. Caring for animals is a true passion for Bill. When not taking care of our boarders, Bill enjoys working out at the gym, going to the beach and spending time with his two kids and wife, Laura.
